My Hobbies
I enjoy reading, mostly sci-fi novels, historical fiction and history as well as tinkering with my computers and bicycling. I have also recently renewed my interest in cars, specifically mid-to-late 60's and 70's era muscle cars and have plans to restore a 1967 Fairlane.
Favorite Authors and BooksMy all-time favorite author would have to be Larry Niven, for his Ringworld series of books, followed by David Drake's Hammers Slammers set.
I also really enjoy Tokien, though I found reading The Silmarilon to be sort of like reading the Bible - necessary, but not one of the more enjoyable reads. Fourth on my list would be the Dragon Riders series by Anne McCaffery. Civilian LifeI was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to Richard and Emma Fogle and have one Sister, Susan Lindberg of Orem Utah. We moved to American Fork Utah in the mid-70's and I lived there until moving to Washington State in 1997. I am married to Laura Fogle, love of my life and the most beautiful woman on the planet. We have two boys, Taylor and Christopher together and live in Federal Way Washington. I have an Associates of Science in Electronics Technology from what is now called Utah Valley University, which is where I learned to design, build and troubleshoot electronic circuits. By trade, I am a Software QA Analyst - I don't like to use the title "Engineer" since I do not hold an Engineering degree.

The CarsI have owned a lot of cars, one of which was a gift from a neighbor. They include (in chronological order):
Military CareerI enlisted in the Air Force Reserves right after High School, and spent 20 years serving my country, retiring as an E-6 in October 1999. I started out as an Air Cargo Specialist (605X1) palletizing cargo for transport all over the world. I didn't particularly like this work, so in 1986 I cross-trained into the Armaments Systems Specialist (2W1X1) field and transferred to the 466th Fighter Squadron. I loved this job, working on F-16 Fighting Falcon's, loading the ordnance and making sure that the weapons systems worked correctly every time.
